So I have now let the underpainting dry completely. As this was done using quite a lot of medium and the oil paint was quite thin, I have used less medium for the next step. Just enough to make the paint workable. I have now begun to put in the positions of the petals on the peonies and used some darker and thicker paint to create more leaves. This give an impression of depth to the painting and adds interest.
I also had a look at how to add some more interest with daisies and have added one to have a think about. To me its a bit white but I will consider this once the petals are done on the peonies. Thanks for reading this. Come back to see how I am progressing.
